Karen leads the Project Coordinator department with an expertise in and passion for customer service, satisfaction, and project coordination. Outside of work, Karen enjoys spending time with family, playing softball, volleyball, golf and bowling.

Explain the role you and your team serve for M&M.

I think of the Projector Coordinators as the hub between all of the departments, customers and vendors. We work closely with sales, design, installation, accounting, customers and vendors. I would like to think that we are the grease that keeps things running smoothly.

What aspect of your role as Project Coordinator Supervisor do you enjoy the most?

I really enjoy every aspect of my role. I have been doing this for almost 30 years and there is never a dull moment. Every day is a different challenge and I think that’s what makes this job so interesting. You never know what challenge is going to come up. It feels good when you are able to solve a problem and make a customer happy.

What is one quality you think is most needed to be successful in this role?

I would have to agree with what one of my co-workers said in her spotlight – that being able to multi-task and having a good memory are definite musts in this position. At any given time, you can have 10-20 projects going on at the same time. You really need to keep track of all the things going on within each project.

What is your proudest moment at M&M?

That’s a tough one. I would have to say when I was promoted to supervisor – it made me feel good that they noticed all of the hard work that I had put into my job.

What do you find most challenging about your job?

Trying to remember everything – there are so many things to remember, so many exceptions.

What is the best advice anyone has ever given you?

Don’t give up and be the best that you can be. It doesn’t matter what other people think, as long as you are proud of yourself and what you have accomplished.

If you could speak to your 13 year-old self, what would you say?

Stay away from office furniture!!! Just kidding. I would say be true to yourself and believe in yourself.

What’s one thing on your bucket list?

Go to Greece.
